A Gloucester of another century, when fishing was king, returns in pictures

Step back in time and experience Gloucester’s working waterfront at the turn of the 20th century. Down to the Sea: The Photographs of Ernest L. Blatchford presents powerful images and objects capturing the city’s fishing industry with a focus on the Inner Harbor. The exhibition is free and open to the public at the Janet & William Ellery James Center at Cape Ann Museum’s CAM Green campus (13 Poplar Street, Gloucester) through September 28.
