Cape Ann Museum reopens after a 20-month renovation and successful $23 million fundraising campaign.
Beyond the renovations, next Tuesday marks the much-anticipated opening of “Avery, Gottlieb & Rothko: By the Sea,” featuring 82 works by Milton Avery, Adolph Gottlieb, and Mark Rothko, all of whom painted in Gloucester during their formative years. The five-year-in-the-making exhibition draws from 26 lending institutions, and more than half of the works have never before been publicly exhibited.
Congratulations to Director Oliver Barker and the entire Cape Ann Museum team on this incredible milestone. We look forward to seeing the Gloucester community and art lovers from across the region at this exciting new chapter.
